Unstoppable Force vs. A Movable Object?
The Jaguars have scored 20+ points in 12 games straight. That is not something to just be waffled over. Trevor Lawrence and the Jags are the real deal. Lawrence completed last week’s game going 18/23, 245 yards passing and 4 TDs. Jacksonville also finished with 126 yards rushing from SEVEN different backs, (not all of them were RBs, but lots of versatility out the backfield.) Jacksonville played a full game. Offensively, they put up 34. Defensively, they took the ball twice, which led to both ensuing drives to scores. I’m a fan of this team and excited to see where the season takes them. I like this Jaguars team this week in Denver. They aren’t scared.
The Broncos had a rough outing on MNF against Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs. Bo Nix looked terrified and inaccurate. Their defense, which is the cornerstone of this team, got completely washed out. Nix was only able to get 131 yards passing on 17/38 throws, with a TD and INT a piece. Their run game managed only to achieve 61 yards total and zero TDs. The Broncos need to focus up immediately if they have designs on getting back into the playoffs, because a start like theirs last week is never a good sign at the start of the season. I think things will turn around for Denver, possibly even this week, but I don’t think they top the red-hot Jaguars.
