Titans @ Colts: Southern Woes
I think the Titans may lose every game this year. It’s comical to listen to Robert Saleh give the same postgame press conference he had been giving for the Jets when he was HC there. Nothing is changing as of now in Tennessee, and honestly, I’m not sure much will change. Cam Ward had another rough game. He had 0 TDs, 1 INT and 170 yards passing. The run game totaled just 57 yards on 18 carries, and one WR had over 50 yards receiving. The Titans total offense is dead last in the league, and they are dead last in points scored. They average just 11 points a game. It’s hard to win games without scoring points, and it’s hard to win when you can’t stop teams from scoring. A lot needs to change for the Titans if they are to win a game. They get a weaker Colts team inside their division this week, so if there was another opportunity to maybe get a win, it would be this week. But I’m taking the Colts.
Indianapolis kept the game close with the Steelers, but only because Spencer Shrader hit 5 FGs. The Colts only found the endzone once on a run play to Tyler Warren. Outside of that, they were pretty much stumped all game. Like I said, they remained in striking distance for most of the game as the Steelers only went up more than one score in the 4th quarter. The game was there for the Colts, they just couldn’t capitalize. Daniel Jones did not turn the ball over, which was a plus, but no one else other than Warren really had a good game. JT was held to just 45 yards on 15 attempts, and Josh Downs was once again not as pivotal as people would like to see him be. A rebound is coming for them though, as they host the 0-5 Titans. Who seemingly can’t do a whole lot right at the moment.
