The Unlucky Dime and the Bad Penny

Indianapolis did not have the start I believed they were going to have. To be fair, Derrick Henry had 3 rushing TDs and Lamar Jackson had 2 total TDs. That’s a lot of points to come back from. The Ravens were cooking, and the Colts could not meet them. If your defense is not in tip-top shape before facing this Baltimore team, prepare to have the score run up on your team. Daniel Jones did not help the situation either. He didn’t hurt it, but they needed more out him. 166 yards passing, 1 TD, and 1 INT will not cut it. They’re just lucky Jonathan Taylor is still employed by the Colts. He will die in a Colts uniform. His 98 yards on the ground and 2 TDs really helped Indy sort of climb back into the game, but then they were swiftly kicked off the field. They have no easier task against KC who looked like the KC of old. Offense, defense, and special teams will need to show up for the whole game if the Colts want any chance. They can’t just show up at random moments during the game.

         This is going to piss a lot of people off, (I know who specifically), but the Chiefs may be back again. They basically executed the Broncos on live TV. There should’ve been a parental warning before that was turned on, because that was graphic. The Chiefs put up 31 on a star-studded defense that makes offense quake. But quake they did not, and led by Mahomes who threw for 184 yards, 2 passing TDs, and 1 rushing TD, stood tall in the face of a good defense. And that good defense didn’t even show up, let alone their offense. Bo Nix looked like a child out there. And the Chiefs defense capitalized on that too, forcing two turnovers, (Nix actually fumbled 3 times that game but recovered 2 of those balls.) The Chiefs get an easier opponent this week, in a game I believe they will control from start to finish.
