Is Geno Smith going to lead New York to the “promise land??” Head Coach Aaron Glenn certainly thinks so. What has unfortunately not been said about the Jets. The perpetual cycle of chaos continues for Gang Green. I have some optimism for Geno this year, if he can play like he did before he went to LV, then the Jets may have something. If not, it doesn’t really matter if they signed Breece Hall or Garrett Wilson to extended contracts. Their season will be over before it begins. However, I am woefully hopeful that the Jets show out in Week 1. They go against a shaky Titans team with not a great defense. If Geno can find his stride early, I think it COULD be like riding a bike. But sometimes, we fall off even if we know how to ride. Look for the Jets to surprise everyone Week 1.

The Titans did not look good in preseason. At all. And I know it’s preseason and they were running vanilla schemes, but holy hell they looked bad in almost every game. Even when their starters were out, they were getting beaten by secondary players. With Robert Saleh at the forefront, I think the culture will be at least different. However, I’m not sold on his head coaching abilities yet. Tough sample size coming from the Jets, but I’m just not sure if he’s one of those guys suited to being a coordinator rather than a head coach. They added former Giants coach Brian Daboll at OC, so I’m sure he’ll have fun scheming for Carnell Tate, Wan’Dale Robinson, and of course, Cam Ward. But then it needs to be properly executed. Which we’re not seeing a lot of. I like the Jets Week 1 away.
