There’s got to be some mixed feelings among Cardinal fans. On the one side, you have Trey McBride, Marvin Harrison Jr., (let’s just see), and rookie Jeremiyah Love. That is a powerhouse of an offense right there. And I didn’t even mention Michael Wilson. But, and it’s a huge ‘but’, Jacoby Brissett is their starting QB. I have nothing against Jacoby other than he’s not s serviceable QB for a full season. Arizona’s defense was also challenged last year, finishing 27th in the league. It’s just one of those situations where I don’t think a lot will be pretty for the Cardinals. They might rip off a few wins here or there, but I doubt they scare teams when they come rolling through. Puppies still bark though.

How many excuses do we have to make for Justin Herbert and the Chargers? Similar to, but unlike Joe Burrow in this sense, the Chargers have a great defense. They finished 5th in the league last year. They have a dynamic offense, and Herbert could literally throw a football 4 miles and hit his WR. And despite it all, they have yet to make a dent in the playoffs. Oh, did I mention Jim Harbaugh is their Head Coach? So, what am I missing here? I’m not entirely sure anymore. The difference between Joe Burrow and Justin Herbert is that Burrow at least made a Super Bowl. As a rookie! So Chargers fans can stuff it, because I’m tired of hearing how good Justin Herbert and the Chargers are. The Chargers have lost 3 Wildcard games in the last 4 years. Outside a couple outlying circumstances, (if you want to call blowing the game against Jacksonville in 2022 “outlying circumstances,”) there is no more excuse anymore. Finish the job and win a playoff game. The Chargers will most likely decimate this Cardinals team.
