Rams @ Raiders: Uneven Is the Path to Fame

The Rams took another step back last week. So far, the SB favorites for 2026 sit at just 2-4. They lost 18-16 to the Cardinals in disappointing fashion. This game was in reach for the entirety of the 60 mins, and the Rams were not able to bend the Cardinals defense. Stafford finished with 222 yards and 2 TDs, but their run game was largely ineffective and their only receiver with over 50 yards was Puka Nacua. He finished with 6 catches for 80 yards. It’s more shocking that LA lost this game coming off the heels of losing to Bills in a close game the week prior. Give credit to this Arizona defense. They had been called out on national media about their poor defensive performances, and they answered the bell this game. Now LA gets a tougher Raiders team than the Cardinals, and they just had a close one with the Bills themselves. The Rams need to have a goldfish-like mindset and move on. Preferably quickly.

Yes, the Raiders have struggled this season. But they have had an equal number of good games, hence they sit at 3-3. Coming off a bad loss to the Patriots, most people believed the Bills were going to wipe away Las Vegas. But this game went very differently from what I pictured in my mind. Buffalo never had a more than a 10-point lead, in fact, Las Vegas led for part of this game. Buffalo didn’t even turn the ball over, the Raiders just kept hanging in there on offense and defense. Kirk Cousins finished with 2 TDs, 313 passing yards, and 1 TD. The run game faltered again, but 3 WRs finished with over 70 yards receiving. The defense even showed out, holding Buffalo to just 4/11 on 3rd down conversions. I think the Rams will most likely win this game, but the Raiders are not to be joked about still. They better be on their best behavior when they head to Sin City.
