Packers @ Lions: On the Mend
The Cowboy Killer came in again and did their thing. Again. The Packers are now 8-1-1 against Dallas in the last 10 years. The Packers’ defense was on their game, and their offense was executing at a consistent level. Love finished with 276 yards, 1 TD, and 1 INT. While there was not much run game to speak of for Green Bay, Matthew Golden and Christian Watson combined for 9 catches for 168 yards and 1 TD. Watson and Golden also now become the first to WR pair this season to eclipse 500+ receiving yards. Their offense also went 11/18 on 3rd down which is superb. The Packers have now won 3 straight, and while they get a tougher Lions team this week, their momentum is starting to become real. I think I like the Lions here coming off a bye week, but man is this game going to be close unless one team falls apart.
Detroit is coming off a bye week after beating the Cardinals 45-21 in week 5. The Lions were coming off some tough games against the Jets and Panthers, but they were able totally offensively and take down Arizona. Jared Goff threw for 271 yards and 3 TDs. Jahmyr Gibbs ran for 151 yards on 25 carries for 2 TDs. He also had 56 receiving yards on 5 catches. Jameson Williams also found the endzone twice on 2 catches for 47 yards. The defense also did well, holding Arizona to just three scores and maintained a heavy lead. I think this is a win that will carry, and with the week of rest to help, the Lions should be right as rain heading into this matchup. Give me Detroit in this close divisional matchup.
