Rams @ Broncos: The Shoes Still Fit

So, the Rams are probably back where they need to be. They did not play a great first half against the Giants. Stafford was making errant throws that led to an INT, they couldn’t get their offense really churning until later, and their defense let the Giants in the redzone 2 different times that game. Luckily, the Giants QB got hurt early and they collapsed within a quarter. This allowed the Rams to operate freely, as Matthew Stafford found Davante Adams a plethora of times throughout the night. Stafford finished with 327 yards and 4 TDs. Adams had 195 yards receiving with 2 TDs. Just an offensive rout combined with a defense stuffing an unprepared backup QB. Let’s see how they fare against Denver.

         Denver got their fixer game against a tough opponent in the Jaguars. The Broncos ended that 12 game streak of 20+ points scored by the Jags, holding Jacksonville to 13 points. The defense did their thing for sure, but Bo Nix had himself a nice little game. Nix completed that game with 288 passing yards on 22/31 throws, 1 TD, and 1 INT. While their run game was largely ineffective in comparison to their pass game, they did manage to reach the endzone on the ground and in the air. Things are starting to click again in Denver, and not a moment too late as the Rams come into town. This is a really tough game to call. Now that the Rams look like the Rams, it’s hard to pick against them. I like LA because Stafford and Davante are an unfair match at QB and WR, and I trust them a little more than Bo Nix and Jaylen Waddle. Just for now. That could all change after this week.
