Eagles @ Bears: You're Only Bulletproof with Kevlar On

Not a good game for the Eagles. Yes, they got the win, but they had to scrape one by a Tennessee team that hasn’t seen that kind of offensive production in a decade or so. Jalen Hurts threw a meatball sub that almost turned into a pick-6 DEEP in the Titans redzone. Luckily for the Eagles, the Titans defense led by Rob Saleh collapsed with the lead. Once again. It was a shame too; I would’ve loved to see the Eagles lose to the Titans of all teams. Jalen Hurts needs to stop turning the ball over, as he had 2 TDs and 2 INTs on 264 yards passing. It didn’t help that Saquon got hurt early, but their run game still had some success without him. Just not a great game from Philadelphia again. After the close victory in Week 1, I had hoped they would turn it up on this bad team. But the NFL is an every week league, and the Titans reminded the Eagles that.

Caleb Williams is getting clowned for going down with a hamstring strain and only being out on a week-to-week status. It is kind of funny I will admit. But jokes aside, Williams will be coming back at some point in the near future, so Bears fans only need to deal with Tyson Bagent for a little bit longer. Just a weird game to witness. It was kind of like a bad defensive battle, where drives where just unable to be converted on from both teams. I think the Bears need to see how Bagent plays this week before any real criticism can be had. Give him a full week of preparation practicing with the 1s, and then we can rehash it come next week. I don’t think the Bears take this week against the Eagles, but it could be close if Ben Johnson’s scheme is that bullet-proof.
