Raiders @ 49ers: The Pieces are There

The Raiders just slid one out against the Jets, and man, they are lucky Geno Smith is on the decline. I don’t think the Raider fanbase could handle 5 straight losses. Remember when they were at the top of the AFC rankings? Good times. I can’t lie though; the Raiders have pieces. Between Brock Bowers, Ashton Jeanty, Mike Washington, and even Tre Tucker, there is talent there. But their 30^th ranked defense constantly lets teams into the ballgame. And that dead last rushing attack they have plagued the league with for years, has moved up just one spot. Not the worst anymore, just second worst. I don’t think the Raiders have much of a chance against the 49ers this weekend, who are coming off a bye nice and rested.

As we just mentioned, San Francisco is coming off a bye week after losing to the Falcons in a game where Atlanta had controlled a lot of this game. Purdy had his worst game of the year, finishing with 288 yards, 1 TD, and 2 INTs. Guys were making plays as always, as McCaffrey and Kaelon Black combined for 19 carries for 102 yards and 1 TD each. McCaffrey also had 61 yards in the pass game, and Kittle had 8 catches for 88 yards. But it was their turnovers that killed them. The 2 INTs plus the 2 fumbles, as three of the four drives Atlanta had from those turnovers turned into points. They just ran the clock out after a fumble late in the 4^th quarter. I like the Niners coming off a bye week against the Raiders though, this is a good team and this is their first loss of the season.
