The Patriots had themselves an off-season. From the Mike Vrabel scandal, to acquiring A.J Brown from the Eagles, it has been anything but quiet down in Foxborough. The Pats are looking to rebound after a dismal Super Bowl effort that capped a great regular season for NE. They finished 8th in total defense and finished 3rd in total offense. Drake Maye finished 4th in passing yards with just below 4,400 yards, 31 TDs and 8 INTs. With the aforementioned free agent signings, the Pats will help bolster an already effective offense. And with Vrabel’s defensive mind, New England will always be sharp on defense. I would like to see the Pats wipe away the ashes of last year and start strong defensively in this Super Bowl rematch. But Seattle will have designs of taking two wins off this team.

Stand up Men and Women of the 12. It’s time to relish what you earned in the Super Bowl. Your squad gets to watch that banner go up, as they look across the field to the team they took it from. Poetic. Seattle had a relatively quiet off-season, retaining Shaheed from last year and signing the likes of Josh Jobe to help their depleted secondary. They also get a fill in for Kenneth Walker in rookie Jadarian Price, who looked really smooth in pre-season. I’m looking for Seattle to keep it rolling offensively in Week 1. Kind of like last year, I think this team goes as far as their QB lets them. Sam Darnold has nothing left to prove, but unfortunately, his past regressions will hang over his head. Which is dumb, because he won a Super Bowl. He finished last year with 14 INTs, but was top 5 in passing yards. Limit those turnovers, and Darnold and the Hawks could be dancing Week 1. I said "could," because I think the Pats take this one. Only because they’ve been waiting for this game all off-season and then have to watch the banner go up before they play. You couldn’t dream of a better motivator than this.
