Miami is in a world of pain this year. They are under new HC Jeff Hafley, the former Green Bay DC. I got to say, with respect to my Dolphins fans, (you know who you are), they may not win more than 3 games this year. I just think the team and the probable scheme are so far off from being competitive in the later months of the season. Their roster is not great, they have a new system to learn, and they are in a tougher division with the Pats and Jets. I think they can do some damage against the Raiders, but this game is as sincere of a toss-up as we can get. Need to see more from Miami this year before true thoughts cane be formulated.
(LV) Additions: Fernando Mendoza (QB), Tyler Linderbaum (C), Quay Walker (LB), Nakobe Dean (LB), Eric Stokes (CB), Malcolm Koonce (Edge)
(LV) Losses: Kenny Pickett (QB), Stone Forsythe (RT), Devin White (LB)
I’m actually very impressed with Las Vegas’ offseason. They made some great pickups on offense and defense to help bolster their weak team. I like that Tom Brady has Mendoza sitting behind Big Kirkio, (Kirk Cousins), as that is a tried-and-true formula the entire NFL seemed to forget about. For the Raiders, the only thing that should be on their mind is getting their offense in a groove. They finished 32ndlast year, partially because they had no OL. Well, they had one, it just didn’t do anything effective. Tighten up that defense, which was a stronger point to their team, but come out swinging. And don’t look at the score, just keep shooting.
