(WAS) Additions: *Sonny Styles (LB), Odafe Oweh (Edge), Chig Okonkwo (TE), Amik Robertson (CB), Stefon Diggs (WR)

(WAS) Losses: Tyler Biadasz (C), Von Miller (LB), Chris Rodriguez Jr. (RB), Deebo Samuel (WR)

After an incredible first season from Jayden Daniels and the Commanders, (sorry to Daniels but I had to use his name there, don’t sue me), Washington had a downward spiral last year. That is mainly due to the QB playing 7 games, (only using his name once got to respect his NIL wishes.) Washington finished last in total defense last year, and was a bottom third offensive team. It’s hard to decipher what kind of team Washington is. Are they high flying, or low soaring? I think we will know by the end of this game the fate of the Commanders this season. They either turn it up or continue to get run over.

(PHI) Additions: Riq Woolen (CB), Marquise Brown (WR), Arnold Ebiketie (Edge), Jonathan Jones (CB), *Makai Lemon (WR)

(PHI) Losses: Jaelen Phillips (Edge), A.J Brown (WR), Nakobe Dean (LB), Reed Blankenship (S)

Maybe, just maybe, less is more. I’m not sure, but you can tell the Eagles are happy A.J Brown is gone. There’s a certain levity to their interviews and practices I’m seeing. Give it some time, the opposition to the Eagles will soon be calling for Jalen Hurts’ coronation as “overrated.” I don’t think Jalen Hurts is overrated per say, but I do think his basic mechanics and accuracy need some work. He’ll have a chance to do that again with Saquon Barkley and newly crowned WR1 DeVonta Smith. The Eagles were decent on defense, but their high-powered offense choked out last year. Look for Philly to blow the Kevin Patullo ashes away, maybe dump them in the trash, and get back to scoring points. They definitely can against almost anyone, why not Washington?
