The 49ers had a rough season last year. Brock Purdy only played 9 games due to a turf toe injury. But luckily, it’s a new season and he's back healthy with Kyle Shanahan and Christian McCaffrey. They did finish 7th in the league in total offense, which is a never a real problem with Shanahan. However, I’d like to see Purdy at the helm taking care of the football better than the team did last year, as they had 22 giveaways. But their defense faltered hard, finishing 20th in the league. They were -6 on the turnover differential and gave up A LOT of passing yards. Almost 235 yards a game. Let’s tighten up on defense against a high-powered Ram offense and see if Purdy and Shanahan can get in a rhythm.

You must be feeling good if you are a Los Angeles Ram fan. You don’t have to lie. No one would buy it anyways. I think we can skip the whole Myles Garrett and Aaron Donald resigning. They are going to be a problem. End of story. The Rams were 12th in run defense last year, so they’re probably going to jump 11 spots. Signing Trent McDuffie was huge too. A true corner to help lock down a side. As for the offense, Matthew Stafford finished first in passing yards and TDs. I repeat, 38-year-old Matthew Stafford burned the league with over 4,700+ yards, and 46 TDs. FORTY-SIX. I’m refraining from cursing here, but what the actual hell. Feels like I’m back in the prime 2010s NFL. So, I’m not saying they are a guarantee for the Super Bowl, but this seems like their season to mess up. I like the Rams here because Stafford is never off his game and their defense just got a lot better. Even with Donald not playing Week 1. I think it takes a week or two for the Niners to get back in the swing.
