Dolphins @ Vikings: Next Man Up.

Tough weekend for the Dolphins again. Feels like I always start out this way when talking about Miami. You know what doesn’t help their case at all? De’Von Achane being out for the rest of the year due to a knee injury. Miami scored only once in the second half on 5 different drives. And it was just a FG. They have some trouble on offense, and that trouble is only going to lengthen with Achane gone. I will give them a better chance against a backup led Vikings team, but Brian Flores defense is always ready. They blitz more than anyone, almost 70% of the time, so Malik Willis needs to be ready for that as well. Not much for Miami this week, but who knows what can happen.

The Vikings just outlasted the Bucs. Baker Mayfield got hurt late in the second half of the game, but even with him in, Tampa was not having much success against this Minnesota defense. Similar to the Dolphins, the Vikings only scored on 2 of the 7 drives they had in the second half. And both scores were FGs. Kyler Murray didn’t have a great game and will need to step it up against a bad Miami team. He finished with 168 yards on 15/29 passing for 1 TD and 1 INT. I would keep the gameplan simple this week. Rush Willis into making mistakes and take advantage of the turnovers. Should be a simple enough win for the Vikings.
