The Broncos won a tough game last week against the Rams. They were getting shut out offensively almost all game. Not from a points standpoint, but more form a production standpoint. Most of the 257 total offensive yards from the Broncos came later in the game, as the Rams slowed down and were unable to regain traction. Bo Nix hit 8 different receivers for 186 yards, 1 TD, and 1 INT. Talanoa Hufanga must’ve had Stafford’s play sheet, as he recorded 2 picks, one being a pick-6. It was the defense that finally came to save the day. Bronco fans must be breathing a sigh of relief, as we’ve seen good offensive games with bad defense from Denver, and vice-versa. Offense came late, but the defense was always here to play. Let’s see a full game against a tough NFC opponent in the 49ers.

The 49ers outlast the Cardinals in much less of a sweat than some of these other games that were close. The problem with playing the 49ers is even if you catch up on the scoreboard, they’ll just smile, head back out there, and drop 7 more on your defense. Brock Purdy is having a monumental start to the season, as he finished the game with 297 passing yards and 4 TDs. McCaffrey had over 100+ scrimmage yards, Kittle had 2 TDs, and Kaelon Black is showing promise as he ripped off a couple nice runs again. The Cardinals can run it up as well, so this was a true shootout. But, like I said last week, the Niners must latch up their defensive miscues. I think a completely on point San Francisco team wins this game by 2 TDs. They still got the win, but now they go against a real defense. I like the Broncos to keep this game close, but the 49ers to pull out the win. I just will always take the better QB situation in close games, and in this case, Purdy wins out.
