When I think of the Packers, I think of a well-balanced team that is always competing come January. What I’ve seen in recent years, specifically last year, has been a little worrisome. After making it to the bye week at 3-2, the Packers would proceed to lose 6 of the next 7 games. And most of the time, it wasn’t particularly close. Jordon Love finished 13th in QBs last year, but GB was a middle of the pack offense. Defense became their strong suit, especially with the addition of Micah Parsons. Let’s see if last years’ 12th ranked defense can put on a similar show against a bad offensive Minnesota team. Because Jordan Love needs to show out, as he’s having a very C.J Stroud-esque career.
(MIN) Additions: Kyler Murray (QB), James Pierre (CB), Juaun Jennings (WR), *Caleb Banks (DL)
(MIN) Losses: Jonathan Allen (DL), Jalen Nailor (WR), Javon Hargrave (DL), Fabian Moreau (CB)
Turns out “Nine,” was indeed, not that guy. What a shock, the guy who carried to a National Championship wasn’t good in the league. Probably needs more time on task, but man he’s just as average as can be. In the wake of that realization, the Vikings went and scooped Kyler Murray. The Vikings are sort of a contradiction as a team. Allow me to explain. They finished 3rd in total defense last season, which is no shock under Brian Flores. But they finished 28th in total offense. It doesn’t help that a lot of their starters on offense were injured, but it’s a new season with a new QB. I expect the offense of Minnesota to try and catch the Packers off guard, but I don’t think it will be successful. I like the Packers.
