Browns @ Jets: Have We Been Here Before?
CleveLAND. STAND UP. YOU ARE 3-1. Another 4th quarter win for the Browns, and I can easily say this was the least expected outcome for Cleveland. Deshaun Watson had another nice game, finishing with 268 yards, 1 TD, and 1 INT. The Browns put together a 7 play, 36-yard drive to put their kicker Andre Szmyt in position to win them the game. And he did exactly just that, hitting a 56-yarder for the lead. Then, the Browns defense closed it out on the first play of the next drive with a Grant Delpit INT. The Browns keep rolling, and they sit atop the AFC North with the Ravens. They have a great chance to go 4-1 as they take on the Jets this weekend.
Very, very tough offensive performance from the Jets last weekend. Geno Smith threw for 119 yards on 8/15 completions with 1 TD. Only one receiver had over 50 yards, the rest had less than 30 yards. The most shocking stat is that the Bears had more first downs, 34, than the Jets had plays run, 32. Terribly really doesn’t even begin to describe it. I had higher hopes for the Jets after some close losses early in the season, but they have seemingly taken a step back. It’s hard to pinpoint where the issues are specifically, it just seems like an internal team/coaching problem. I like the Browns this weekend, but this is totally a game the Jets decide to wake up and win.
