Seahawks @ Broncos: The Wild West of QBs
The Seahawks are back. And in that return, they had a straight up BATTLE against their division rivals in the 49ers. Sam Darnold may not be all the way back yet, but the Seahawks are. Darnold had a couple INTs with 1 TD and 195 yards passing. JSN had over 100+ yards from scrimmage and a TD. Light work. But I must give some credit to the Niners offense, because they battled back down 3 early in the 4th quarter. I can’t even fault the defense entirely, as the 49ers offense is one of the best in the league. Especially with Purdy at the helm. I think if the Seahawks weren’t playing the best team in the league, they might’ve won this game. Darnold still needs to find his stride, and their defense needs to stay vigilant against offenses of this caliber. I think they find that against a struggling Denver team.
The Broncos were able to fend off the now 0-5 Chargers, but not without breaking a sweat. The Broncos were able to force key turnovers on Justin Herbert that helped them seal this game, but Bo Nix is still struggling. Nix went 16/27 for 123 yards and 1 TD. The Broncos’ run game is still stuck too, and while J.K Dobbins finished with 68 yards and a TD, they still have not been able to let loose on that front. And once again, the Broncos WRs are becoming silent because of Bo Nix’s issues. Courtland Sutton and Jaylen Waddle COMBINED for 37 yards on 4 catches. That’s it. That is not sustainable in the least. It’s nice to see their defense defend against terrible team, but they should’ve put 40 up on this team. Things don’t get easier this week as they host the Seahawks. And I’m taking the Seahawks.
