Dolphins @ Jets: Half In, Half Out
The Dolphins keep rolling as a completely defeated team, which is the opposite of an undefeated team. Good thing for them, is they are coming off a bye week and they get to play the Jets who have lost 2 of their last 3 games. The Dolphins don’t have much to write home about, or for me to write about them period. They don’t have a good offense, defense, and their roster isn’t very good. Jeff Hafley will probably be out of a HC job by this time next year and I’m assuming almost everyone not named De’Von Achane will be on the block. But let’s get back to some of the good. They are coming off a bye week, and they are playing the Jets which is a divisional opponent. Division games are always tight, it’s just history. So, if the Dolphins are going to win, it’s going to be this week. Or the next time they play the Jets.
This was an unfortunate loss for the Jets, only because this was a game they could’ve won. Some may say should’ve won. The Jets took the Pats to the wire, forcing them to run the clock out to win the game. The Jets defense was not great this game, and their offense left some things to be desired. They certainly left some points on the board. Geno Smith finished the game with 252 yards, 1 TD, and 1 INT, and Omar Cooper Jr. returned from injury with a splash. He went for 103 yards on 6 catches and 1 TD. Great to see the Ole Miss rookie get involved, he may be a problem in the future. I think the Jets have been playing well for the most part this season, probably somewhere in the ballpark of 50% of their games. But, that’s 50% better than last season. I like the Jets against a bad Dolphins team.
