I think it’s time someone calls BS on the Chiefs. I’m serious, and I’m the biggest non-Patrick-Mahomes-glazing supporter of their successful franchise. I’m not a Chiefs fan, I’m just saying I respect their success and how good Patrick Mahomes is, I just don’t do it in a Cris Collinsworth type of way. I appreciated the Patriots success; I can appreciate the Chiefs success. Ok, I’m done defending myself. Moving on, the Chiefs are destined to lose a game soon. They’ve been walking on a tight rope like thin line between winning and losing. For a team that has won back-to-back Super Bowls, I am shocked to say the least. I expect them to get it back on track come playoff time, I mean they are 11-1, and they don’t draw pictures on the scorecard. But not before getting that second loss, and who’s going to give it to them? Who else but Jim Harbaugh and the Los Angeles Chargers. The Chargers, who are one less loss ahead of the Denver Broncos, will look to put the pressure on this currently struggling Kansas City team. The Chargers, who allow only 15.7 points a game, which leads the NFL, will look to prevent an average offense with a lot of hardware from scoring this weekend. The Chiefs will get Isiah Pacheco back from IR, as he was sidelined in Week 2 with an ankle injury. It is also important to note that the Chiefs have won the last six against the Chargers, but sometimes history is nothing but dust. Roll Chargers.

POSTGAME:

They can’t keep getting away with this, but somehow, they do. The Kansas City Chiefs keep winning games they should not be winning. A game I had slotted as the Chiefs second loss, they won on a FG that hit off two uprights. I mean, you couldn’t predict that if you tried. Now, the Chiefs did lead in most of the game, but never by more than two scores. And somehow, the Chiefs find a way to win the game. Maybe that’s the moral of the story. Good teams win games. It doesn’t matter how they do it, they just do. I’m not even going to do that much analysis, both QBs played well, the game was nice and competitive, and these are two solid football teams. So, we can look at these one of two ways. The first aforementioned way would be that the Chiefs are good, and it doesn’t matter how they do it, they just do. The second being that the Chiefs have some clear flaws and are only able to win games close. They won the last 16 games by one score or less. That being said, they won again, not much can be done now. If you’re the Chiefs, clean it up right now. If you’re the Chargers, keep grinding out each week. Justin Herbert is playing lights out.
