Polish off the Ring

Is it me, or are the Chiefs not the Chiefs anymore? I know it’s been one week, but I’m compiling last season as well. I don’t really care that they were 15-2, there were a lot of questionable finishes last year with the Chiefs. And let’s not forget the mopping they took in the Super Bowl against the Eagles. It looked so apparent last night in Brazil. The Chiefs were down all game, not once did they have the lead. Lots of miscues for KC too. 10 penalties for 71 yards, a lot of dropped balls, and the run game was nonexistent. Mahomes led the team with 57 yards on the ground that came mostly from 3^rd down scrambles. Do not discredit the Chargers. Justin Herbert looked fantastic, and Jim Harbaugh and the Chargers just hummed right along. Quick shoutout to Donte Jackson, who despite being leveled by Mahomes, played an incredible game at corner. All this leads back to the Chiefs looking out of sync. A Super Bowl beatdown followed by a disappointing loss in Sao Paulo. Ouch. I think we are starting to see that Mahomes may not be able to SOLELY carry this franchise without a little help. Or better help.
