Age-Less Wonder?

         I was flamed for this take in numerous group chats. Not the first time, and certainly won’t be the last time, but I believe there is some weight to this claim. Sure, the Rams were dumb arriving 27 hours before kickoff in Australia. You can’t hack time. So, I’m willing to chalk up a lot of miscues and errors to that travel, but I still couldn’t shake this feeling about Stafford after watching him on his first drive. A quick three and out for LA, but when they eventually got the ball back next drive, Stafford airmailed 2 throws at least 15 yards wide. He missed Puka Nacua on a deep ball that was basically out of bounds, and then the same thing happened two plays later to Davante Adams. That’s what we call in Pole-Ish, “uncatchable.” I’m not writing this to say, “yeah, Stafford is definitely on the decline because of two throws.” That’s what my friends said. I’m more of the perspective of when you have seen Matthew Stafford of all QBs, make errant throws like that. The guy known for his accuracy and toughness, seemed to look brittle under the Brisbane lights. I’m sure things will even out for Stafford and the Rams, but consider my eyes open to this possible trend.
