Pats @ Dolphins: Diagnosed Issues

New England nearly bested the Bears for their 4th win in a row. Unfortunately, the Pats ran out of time and the Bears were able to run the clock out. No one had really stepped up for the Pats as the trustworthy option. There are guys on the team that should already be stepping into that roll, but no one has yet. AJ Brown has had minimal impact since joining New England. He currently had a drop/injury problem. Rhamondre Stevenson has emerged as the feature back, but due to that, Treyveon Henderson’s snap count has suffered. Stevenson finished with 119 scrimmage yards and 1 receiving TD. They need some help in the WR room and seemingly, on the line. The Patriots got out of that early slump but haven’t hit their true stride yet. I expect them to do so against the Dolphins.

And the Dolphins remove their name from the unbeaten list! Congrats to Miami, who played their best game of the season against the Jets. Of course it was the Jets. Malik Willis had a great game, going for 208 yards and 2 TDs. He also had 37 yards rushing on 8 attempts for 1 TD. Ollie Gordon made his presence felt again, finishing with 103 yards on 25 carries and 1 TD. Rookie Caleb Douglas showed why he has a fair amount of hype around him, concluding the game with 70 yards on 2 catches for 2 TDs. The Dolphins defense even got an INT off Geno Smith. Way to be. I think there is some school of thought believing this momentum can carry into their matchup with the Pats, and it totally is possible. Personally, I’m of the belief that the Pats clean this team up.
