Panthers @ Eagles: A Hot Iron and Cold Steel

The Panthers are coming fresh off a bye week after being spot on against the Lions on SNF in Week 4. Bryce Young was unbelievable, throwing for 329 yards and 2 TDs. Tet McMillan had 14 receptions, 192 yards, and those 2 TDs from Young. Chuba Hubbard had 20 carries for 122 yards and 2 TDs. The Panthers were absolutely on point, and they will be looking to continue that trend against a hurt Philly team coming off a loss to the Jaguars in London. If you know me and have followed the blogs over the years, I LOVE Bryce Young. And that love has not stopped. Give me Carolina.

The Eagles lost a game they should’ve won. A game in which they led by a touchdown for most of the duration. And even when the lead dwindled, they still had it until they lost it. When they were winning, they had numerous times to pull away, and when they lost it, they had so many times to come back. The Eagles had 7 drives in the second half, and 6 of those drives resulted in no points. They had one FG on their last drive that put them up 1-point. And then, it all fell apart. Why are we kicking the ball inbounds? How about a squib kick? None of it made sense to me then, and it still doesn’t make sense to me now. While Jalen Hurts and the passing offense had an OK game, their run offense once again was left in the dust. And then their defense and special teams let them down when they needed them most. Things are starting to spiral in Philly, and I don’t think it’s going to get better before it gets a lot worse.
