Browns @ Titans: Upside Down Week

The Browns almost had another Browns type loss this week, which would’ve made that two in a row for them. What I mean by that is that these past two weeks were very winnable games for Cleveland. They coughed one up against the Jets but avoided the same fate this week against the Ravens. In this tight divisional race, this was a game that they needed to win, and they did. Deshaun Watson did not have a great game, concluding with 164 yards on 16/26 throws, but had zero turnovers which is always positive. He also led a 10 play, 62-yard drive to set up a FG for the win. I’m glad the Browns didn’t lose this game as they remain at the top of this division in this close divisional AFC North race. I like them carrying momentum against a Titans team who got their first win last week.

WELL HALLELUJAH. The Titans finally did it! I’m not going to beat up Tennessee too bad since they did win, but this was more on the fault of the imploding Colts than the demeanor of the Titans. Cam Ward finished with 102 yards passing for 1 TD and 1 INT. That is really bad. Tony Pollard had 90% of their run production with 19 carries for 76 yards, and Carnell Tate finally found the endzone on 6 receptions for 70 yards. The Titans won because Daniel Jones should’ve had 8 INTs this game but only walked away with 2 INTs. And for the most part, when the Colts turned it over, the Titans got points. Even if they were just FGs. I like Cleveland this week, but maybe this is the turn Tennessee needed to win some more games.
