Bills @ Raiders: Touching Earth

On the flipside of the Rams loss, came a Bills win. Josh Allen was previously 0-7 in OT until this prior Monday. That is crazy. But Allen breaks the streak, and he did a lot of it on his own shoulders. Allen threw for 210 yards, 1 INT, and 1 TD. He also ran for 101 yards on 10 attempts for 1 TD. He really does it all. The Bills offense kind of got stifled, as Josh Allen only completed 12 passes all game. But, as they say in golf, they don’t draw pictures on the scorecard. I’m sure the Rams would’ve liked it if they did, but the Bills are as happy as can be with that outcome. This strong team takes on a weaker Raiders team that just got curb stomped against New England. I think you know where I’m going with this one. Give me the Bills.

Not a whole lot went well for Las Vegas last week. The 27th ranked defense showed exactly why they sit where they are on those defensive standings. They let Drake Maye throw 4 TDs and run one in. I will say, those TD throws outside of the one down the left sideline were nothing special. Raiders’ defenders were falling over each other, over the ground, and generally letting WRs get open all game. Their offense really struggled. While Kirk Cousins did throw for 243 yards and 1 TD, the ground game totaled just 38 yards on 18 carries for 1 TD. The LV trend of a bad run offense is still carrying over to this year, despite the couple of good games they had. The Raiders are being brought back down to Earth right now, and I think the Bills are going to shove them into the ground to remind them of that. The Raiders have some bumps to get over as they stare down a pothole filled road.
