The Jets really almost did it. They almost beat the Packers. They kind of fell apart in the 4^th quarter and then in OT, and I’ll put some of that on clock management. Aaron Glenn has to be better in these tight game situations. But nonetheless, the Jets competed for almost 60 mins. Geno Smith finished the game with 247 yards and 1 TD, but once again, he did not turn the ball over. That’s equally important. The two punch combo between A.D Mitchell and Garrett Wilson is cool. They really work well together. Breece Hall had just shy of 100 all-purpose yards and Wilson snagged the one TD from Geno. Their defense looked nice too, even though it’s against Jordan Love. That’s two good weeks for the Jets, even though they lost last week. I’d still chalk that up as a metaphorical win.

         Motor City. Despite my last Rumor Mill article, the alarm bells are silent. The Lions had a good game, it just came a little too late. Jared Goff finishing the game with 327 yards and 4 TDs and the Lions not winning doesn’t feel real. But sitting at 1-1, they are not in a dire position. They get the Jets this week in a game they should handle with ease. But I’d like to see the Lions take a lead early and not give up a lot on defense. They need to try and beat the ever-living hell out of this team, not scrape by. Or come back God forbid. I like Detroit this week.
