Semi-Empty Threats

It is now Week 3, and I have the same amount of confidence in C.J Stroud and the Texans that I has in Week 1. Not a lot. After getting essentially blown out by Cincinnati, Houston now takes on a Colts team that took KC to OT on SNF. Sure, 353 yards with no INTs from Stroud is great, but is it any different than throwing for 1,000 yards a game if you can’t score? Not by a longshot. The run game needs help, the passing attack needs bolstering, and this big bad Houston defense keeps getting rolled over. Unless I see some improvement soon, I will continue to take teams over Houston. And this week is no different.

         I got to give it to the Colts. They took this game much farther than most people would’ve thought. Taking Mahomes and the Chiefs to OT is a feat to be celebrated. Daniel Jones had a good game, going for 210 yards and 1 TD and 1 INT. Jonathan Taylor showed out as always, going for 92 yards and 2 TDs. The Colts are starting to piece it together, but like the Texans on one front, they must stop getting obliterated on defense. 382 yards and 3 TDs from Mahomes. Way too many if you’re trying to stay in the game. I like them against the Texans this week though.
