Vikings @ Bucs: The Minutia of Difference

What a weird game for the Vikings last week. A defensive showdown between them and Chicago, ended in a 9-3 victory for Minnesota. Isaiah Rodgers was the unsung hero of this game, as his blocked FG in the 4^th allowed the Vikings to maintain a 3-point lead. They would then drive down the field and kick another FG to go up 6. The Bears were having success on offense, but they just couldn’t capitalize. And the Vikings just outlasted them. It was an interestingly fun game to watch. I think Minnesota will look to score more points this weekend against a vulnerable Tampa Bay team.

         That one has got to hurt for Baker and the Bucs. Going to the home of the team that cut you, and then collapsing the small lead you had because you can’t stop Deshaun Watson and the Browns? Yikes. In all fairness, Watson played well for the first time in like, 3 years. Baker did not have a great game, finishing with 182 yards and having a TD and INT a piece. I don’t this this rut will last for Tampa Bay, but another week of underachieving, and some serious questions will have to be asked. I love Baker, but he is not playing up to his potential, and that needs to change immediately. I like the Bucs if they get out to a quick start and show some competence on defense, but Minnesota is not just going to get rolled over. Be prepared for a fight, but I like the Bucs in a game where they fix their issues. A little different than a “get right game.”
