Cowboys @ Texans: If it Walks like a Duck and Talks Like a Duck...

         If it isn’t the usual suspects. The Cowboys. I can’t rip on anything other than their defense, because Dak played incredibly until he decided to talk his stuff to the Baltimore bench during a timeout. Things proceeded to spiral from there. They ended up tying the Ravens with a FG, leaving 7 seconds on the clock. That can’t be enough time, right? Right??? Well, it was for Tyler Loop and the boys. Lamar hits Zay Flowers for a 27-yard gain, and Loop drills it from 56 yards. Game over in Rio. How many games are we going to see the Cowboys run it up on offense, then blow it all away on defense when it counts? Not a whole lot of new things from last year to this year, but I would’ve hoped they rectified this issue in the off-season. Let’s pray the Cowboys figure it out against a not great Houston team from across the state. Because it doesn’t matter how many points you score if your defense is just going to cough it up.

         C.J Stroud, I owe you a slight apology. Not for improving your play, that hasn’t gotten much better. But because your team is terrible. On offense and defense apparently. The Texans took the ball away 3 different times in last week’s game, and they only came away with points on ONE of those ensuing drives. Stroud had just 167 yards and 1 TD, but his top 2 WRs are Xavier Hutchinson and Kayshon Boutte. Not exactly a pillar of excellence. And Stroud’s OL is doing him no favors as well. So, he’s throwing to no one, while being protected by no one, with a defense that can’t stop, anybody? Do I have that right? I would like to see the Texans surprise this Cowboys team, but with Nico Collins still not looking great for this week with his hamstring, Stroud will still be rolling out there with the usual suspects. I give it to Dallas in this game.
