I am a big fan of these tight ends. There is a good mix of hybrid speed guys and true block and catch tight ends. Remember, this is my personal list. However, I am only wrong until proven so. But as of right now, this list is correct. Jokes aside, let’s look and see.
1. Kenyon Sadiq (Oregon)
A true hybrid TE. Sadiq moves and acts like a WR; it is legitimately crazy to see on film. He may move like a WR, but he’s physical like a TE. Sadiq latches onto the ball when it gets near him, and then makes you miss after the catch. And like I said, he’s got no problem running you over. The beauty is he can pretty much line up anywhere. While he is a tad undersized and has some concentration drops that shouldn’t be made, Sadiq is still a prospect with a whole lot of upside. If he can hone in on blocking, he will be a problem for a long time in the NFL
2. Max Klare (OSU)
I like how Max Klare plays football. It looks easy and fluid to him. He runs nice routes, has soft hands, and can block well. His dad being a nose guard at BC probably helped refine his blocking a little. There is work to be done there, but he is one of the best blockers in the TE class. Klare’s got a high IQ for the game and physically fits the TE position. He's not super fast and there are some durability questions, but there is more than enough upside to add him to your squad if you’re in need of some TE depth.
3. Eli Stowers (Vandy)
Switching back over to more versatile, dynamic tight ends, we come to Eli Stowers. Stowers has great hands, is a physical runner, and finds soft spots in the zone like a WR. He is dangerous after the catch and has nice speed to match with that. Sounding dangerous, right? Stowers has some issues run blocking and blocking in general. He has dealt with his fair share of drops last year after a pretty clean 2024 season, which is unfortunate. That size also leads to being bumped off routes, which could be an issue in man in the NFL. There is enough there for a team to take him since he can line up anywhere on the field. When the ball is in his hands, he flies around.
4. Joe Royer (Cincinnati)
Joe Royer is so cool. He returned from OSU to Cincy after one unsuccessful season. And that was the best decision for his career. He broke Travis Kelce’s single season reception record which stood at 45 until Royer came in with 50. He is a prototype TE. Huge body, great hands, spectacular body control, and creates separation on his routes and after the catch. He needs some lower body bolstering and blocking help, but man, this guy is going to be in the NFL for a while if he can learn to block. Because catching the ball is not the issue. I am happy for whoever decides to take this man.
5. Dallen Bentley (Utah)
And finally, we get to Dallen Bentley. Another prototypical looking TE who I think is extremely like Royer. He has great hands, a great build, catches the ball through any contact, and secures the ball firmly while being able to make defenders miss. He’s not that high on many people’s boards, but I could not care. Bentley’s only issues are improving in run blocking and his sample size starting. That’s not really his fault either, he started all the prior year in 2024 and finished with just 2 catches on the season. That’s a crime. Because next year he finished with 48 receptions, 620 yards and 6 TDs.
