Public Execution??

This Monday night might lead to the televised public slaughter of the New Orleans Saints. I’m serious, it could very much get out of hand quick. Jordan Love and the Packers are playing so well, and after last week’s dominate win over the Seahawks, I don’t think they’re slowing down against an inferior Saints team. The Packers are 5-2 at home, which is where they’ll be playing, and Jordan Love has over half his yards and TDs at home, (1,577 yards and 15 TDs.) The problem for this team is that they play in such a competitive division with the Vikings and Lions, and while they could still in theory grab the NFC North title, they just need to keep winning games since they’ll most likely end up a wildcard. They need to take this gift-wrapped win and run with it, and the way this offense is playing, they very well can. In his last five games, Jordan Love has 1,133 yards and 8 TDs, and against the NFC, he has 2,263 yards and 18 TDs. Say what you will, but they’re dangerous. And their defense is 10th overall. What can’t this team do?
The Saints are in big trouble in this game. They’re already not a great team to begin with, and they are also 2-4 on the road this year. Let’s add some key injuries, and you got a recipe for a disaster. The most amazing thing is that they still have a chance at the playoffs, and while highly unlikely, there is a way. Obviously, win out, and if they can manage to beat this Green Bay team, I’ll say their playoff hopes are legit. But mathematically eliminated or not, they’re not good enough or healthy enough to make a splash IF they were to make the playoffs. I just don’t think they’ve got it this year. They are also working with an interim head coach in Darren Rizzi, who really hasn’t done a bad job at all. But it's hard to have sustained success with an interim head coach, it just is. Ask the Jets. Derek Carr will be up in the air next year, they will be looking for a new coach, and trying to correct the mistakes made this season, in the next one. Long way of saying Packers win.
