Only one team might make the playoffs in this game. Might. The Seahawks lost their right to choosing their own destiny after a loss to Minnesota last week. Now, they sit one game behind the Los Angeles Rams, with two weeks to go in the season. Their playoff hopes are out of their hands, and while that’s a gut-punch like feeling, they can still make it. Seattle must win out, and they need the Rams to lose on Saturday. The problem is, they play a messy Cardinals team who have been eliminated from playoff contention. Probably going to be a win for the Rams, making this game for the Seahawks extremely important. The Seahawks have been sliding the last two games. With Kenneth Walker III placed on Injured Reserve, the bell cow duties fall to the surging second year back, Zach Charbonnet. He has electrified the Seattle run game when Walker is sidelined, averaging almost 71 yards per game and 4.5 yards per carry. The Seahawks will lean on Charbonnet, and I wouldn’t be surprised if we see him go for over 100 yards against a below average Bears defense with not much to play for.

That thing the Bears must play for is to break their losing streak. They’re on a nine-game losing streak and they’re out of the playoffs. Caleb Williams has been playing well in his last five games, throwing for 1,255 yards and 10 TDs, with ZERO INTs. That is impressive to say the least, but the Bears have just been unable to win games. I don’t think they are able to beat a team that is in survival mode, it’s just two different planes of competition. I think if they do win, it’s because Seattle is truly unable to fix the issues they have had in the last two games. The benefit of the doubt for Seattle is that they’re playing the Bears, whereas their losses came to two playoff teams. The Seahawks are 4-2 when playing teams .500 or worse this year, so struggles aside, I think they take this game over the Bears by at least 15 points.

POSTGAME:

What a dumb game for everyone to watch. I mean really, it was borderline abusive to my vision. Terrible offense all game. 182 total passing yards between both QBs in this game, and 225 yards on the ground combined between both teams. It was just punt, after punt, after punt, after punt. Dash a couple field goals in the first half, and you have basically summarized the game yourself. Tariq Woolen had a game sealing INT on a bad ball from Caleb Williams, but neither team should feel good about how this game went. Seattle winning didn’t even matter, because the Rams won and knocked them out of the race.
