Aaron Rodgers is back baby! Back in the Green and white…Wait, he’s on the Steelers? Yes, yes he is Will. He resides with the Steel Curtain now. Rodgers is hopefully going to make it out of the tunnel (sorry) and help the Steelers get back into the playoffs. While it is probably Rodgers’ last season, he may not even be the bigger storyline. The bigger storyline is how Mike Tomlin has successfully coached this team over .500 every year, but hasn’t won a playoff game since 2016. A whole decade of time. He’s not even a bad coach, but that is a bad stat to have. I think more than anything, Pittsburgh just wants to win a playoff game. Home, away, in space, it doesn’t matter. I think they have a good shot too. They added D.K. Metcalf after getting rid of George Pickens, and drafted rookie RB Kaleb Johnson to help the run game. They have an incredible defense led by T.J Watt and Cam Heyward. They signed Jalen Ramsey. They have the tools. Can they get out of their own way? I think they do against the Jets. I think Aaron Rodgers slams his foot into NYC and walks out.

Jets fans may be in a bit of a quandary, but I don’t want to speak for them. What I will say for them; is I like the direction of this team. Under new HC Aaron Glenn, this team is sort of finding a culture to rally behind. They have talented players in Garrett Wilson, Sauce Gardner, Breece Hall and Braelon Allen, Quinnen Williams, and added rookie TE Mason Taylor. The point in listing these names is that the Jets are talented. However, I am troubled at the QB position. It’s not that Justin Fields is a bad QB, that’s not it at all. It’s just he has trouble placing the ball where it needs to go? Does that make sense? He has trouble hitting the side of a house. While there is always room for improvement, but I don’t think Fields will be the long-term option. And with him at the helm, I don’t exactly feel optimistic for the Jets this year. But hey, I’ve been wrong so many times and there is not time like the present to continue that streak. Give me the Steelers though.
