Don't Get Denied from Line

Hmmmmm. I wonder which of these teams will be playing their backups. Is it Kansas City, who sits at #1 in the AFC, or is it the Broncos who need this win to get in? Rhetorical. It’s already been reported that the Chiefs will be playing almost all their backups this week, and the Broncos need to win this game to get in. I once again say, “hmmmmmmm.” After gathering this intel, I can almost guarantee a Broncos win this week. They haven’t made the playoffs since 2015, when they won the Super Bowl with Peyton Manning, (wow that was 10 years ago.) After all the trials and tribulations this team has faced, I don’t think they’re going to deny themselves entry to the club when they get to the door. This is a good team, with a great defense, they just need to find their footing and take one last step forward. Bo Nix needs to be sharp, their defense needs to be lockdown, and they can’t give an inch to this Chiefs team at home. Backups or not, it’s still the back-to-back defending Super Bowl champs. Focus in one more time before you being to really narrow your focus for the playoffs. Take care of business.

Who will it be at QB for Kansas City this week? No other than Carson Wentz himself. Wentz is no shrimp, he can ball. He helped bring the Eagles into position for the playoffs before getting injured and missing the playoffs. He was one of the more productive QBs in the league during his prime and collected a Pro Bowl to go along with it. As I said, this guy can play. Denver isn’t facing a pushover; they’re facing a veteran QB in an elite system. He’s not Patrick Mahomes, but he is more than a viable backup. Deandre Hopkins will be joining Wentz this week, as he is inching closer to his incentive bonus for catches and yards, (he’d get $250k per incentive reached.) He is nine catches away and over 140 yards away from reaching those numbers. The Chiefs could come out slinging, but I don’t think it’s enough to beat a team with their backs against the wall.
